A five piece rock and roll act hailing from throughout Nova Scotia, has risen to lay its claim in the Halifax Rock Scene, formed in the summer of 2000, kING bENNY has successfully risen to become one of Halifax’s most hard hitting, intense rock bands. Having played countless shows in Metro and surrounding areas, from Yarmouth to Antigonish, kING bENNY has built an impressive fan base as an independent act. 
kING bENNY has not limited itself to genre specific venues or acts, and promises to share any stage with any act, having performed with acts such as World Music, Hip-Hop, Rock and Roll, and Metal. 

Within itself kING bENNY is composed of Chet Ruddager, as our vocalist/frontman whose gremlin-like stage antics are sure to impress. Mingus Leggot, brings guitar rage to new levels, while CV.Joint’s spastic guitar style is relentless. Dix Lexus, bass, and Shamus Pickler, drums, form the spine in the nervous system known as kING bENNY. 

The debut album released in the summer of 2002 was completely DIY, recorded, produced, and distributed independently, locally hailed as one of the best sounding Indie albums to date, it is an accurate representation of kING bENNY. 

With Pre-Production already begun on a second album, kING bENNY’s mandate for 2003 include’s extensive gigging and a maritime tour, with gigs in the works for Toronto and Montreal.
